Make it stand out

Age: 29

Sun Sign: Cancer

The best thing about being a Cancer is: We’re big on intuition, loyalty, and nurturing others, which makes Cancers great at building meaningful and lasting relationships. We’re not afraid to get deep and vulnerable with people we trust, and we can usually tell pretty well who those people are. I’m a ride or die friend, and I like that about myself.

The hardest thing about being a Cancer is: being moody AF, all the time. I never do emotions by half: I feel everything very intensely, which is the not-so-great side about that ability to get vulnerable and dig deep with loved ones.

I’m at my most Cancer when: I’m being creative. I’m an artist at heart, so whether it’s writing, painting, or cooking, creating something is a great outlet for all those big Cancer feelings. If I’m creating something for someone else, like crafting a homemade gift or making a meal to share, it’s even better.

My best tips for other Cancers: Your emotions are valid, and they’re not causeless. The best lesson I ever learned was that anger is a symptom that something is wrong. It’s okay to have big emotions, but the important thing is that you understand where they come from (what caused that emotional reaction?) so that you can take care of yourself — and your relationships too.

What else do you want people to know about being a Cancer? We’re not shy! Do we have a persona that acts as a protective outer shell? Yes. But that just means we’re not going to spill all our innermost thoughts and feelings to you right away. It doesn’t mean we’re not confident and outgoing.
