Astrology without a birth time

Your birth time is very important in Astrology. It determines your rising sign. It also sets up the signs connected to each of your twelve houses. You can normally find your birth time on your birth certificate. Most countries have it listed there. Sometimes you have to ask for the “long form” like in the United States. Often people ask their mothers for their birth time. Well, a lot of mothers have a notoriously bad memory when it comes remembering when you were born. It may have something to do with being a serious lot of pain.

Without your exact birth time, you won’t know which areas of your life the planets are playing out their energies. Even a few minutes off your actual birth time can make a difference in your chart.

If you only have a general idea of when you were born, like “in the morning,” you can pick a time like 8:00 a.m. Just know that your chart won’t be as accurate in describing who you are.

If you have no idea when you were born, use 12:00 p.m.—noon—as a place holder. But again, your chart won’t be able to tell you a lot of details about yourself.

Do you know your birth time? Where did you find it?
