Trifecta: Sun and Moon

Your Sun and Moon - how do you feel about yourself?

Your Sun and moon reflect how you feel (moon) about yourself (Sun).

Their connection will answer questions like:

Do my feelings affect my self-esteem?

Do I feel confident about myself?

Do my feelings help or hurt my sense of self?

Do my feelings drive me or can I master them?

To answer these questions look at the signs they’re connected to. Do they naturally get along?

Let’s say you’re Sun is in Sagittarius and your moon is in Pisces. They are 90 degrees apart.  This is a challenging aspect. Your Sun and moon may have trouble getting on the same page. Sagittarius want independence and adventure. Pisces’s are sensitive and want a deep connection with others. So you may have this constant inner battle between wanting to have freedom but needing to feel close to people.

Here’s an example of the kind of conversation these planets may have inside your head about a situation:

Your Sagittarius Sun (is motivated to have fun and adventures): OMG, John is getting a group of people together to go hike Mount Rainer (14,000 feet above sea level). I’ve got to go. It’ll be awesome. I’ve never done that before and going with this group would be so much fun!

Your Virgo Moon (is motivated by efficiency and order): Okay, so I’m all for adventure but let’s be practical.  You’ve never hiked for more than 1 hour on a hill. Plus you haven’t worked out in 3 months. This isn’t going to end well.

What can you do?

Use your Sun, the captain of your planetary team, to mediate. Listen to both sides objectively and find creative ways to compromise. Maybe you can ask for a rain check while you go on practice hikes? Or maybe you offer to tag along so get to meet everyone but stay on flat ground and arrange meals or watch their things.
